Has anyone ever done one of these diy lots. I'm not very educated on putting together things like this but I've researched it a lot and I'm pretty sure I can do this. Would this be good for a 10 gallon tank?

I used their solderless LEDs on my Fluval 5G nano that I sold recently: <!-- gcu-updated ame -->http://youtu.be/AMR5mh9F6Ro<!-- gcu-updated /ame -->. I did not get one of the kits, rather created my own spectrum. Not sure if all would agree that it was properly configured, but it worked great for me.

Wait did you have this tank for sale on craigslist? If you did I think I tried buying the lights form you. Such a small world .

Edit: You only had one driver? And what was the moonlight driver for?

That it is!

. Wait so what lights did you have on the nano driver?

I was only concerned about dimming main lights and having separate moonlights.

Edit: 2 royal blues on the moonlight driver, all others on dimmable nano driver.

Wait so do you get the full spectrum when you plug the the royal blues into the moonlight driver?

The driver does not affect the color temp, at least I do not think. Just the brightness (I believe). I am def. no expert in this area. I just modeled this configuration off of another I found online.

Ok. So you think that your setup would work with a 10 gallon with a couple of clams? Or would I need to add some more LEDs?

I'd add some more LEDs, and other colors for a 10g.

Edit: There are other guys here on ARC that will be able to give you more/better info. most likely, but this link gives a lot of good info. IMO.

Ok. Thank you very much. I'm hoping to get this tank set up soon.

P.S. The guys at RapidLED are great. I had the connector on one of the LEDs break while assembling and they shipped me out a new one, no questions asked. I have since bought one of their dimmable Onyx fixtures from them and will most likely be buying more for my next tank.

I know. I emailed then around 9:00 and they haven't replied back but it's probaly to late so it's nice to know they have good customer service. And I wished I knew they made the onyx fixtire before I bought my AI sol.

Yap. I've heard that the company sends out replacement parts even if you warranty is up.
