Well I won a anmeone at the meeting two days ago. Wait let me rephrase that. A quarter of a anmeone. Well I really want it to live so is there anything I can do to make the survival rate go up. I have it isolated from all fish and it has medium water flow in the container thing it's in. What would be the best thing to do for it. What are the signs that it is doing well?

Ok. I just checked on it and it was fully extended?!? And the lights are off but during the day only 3or4 tentacles extend. I understand the they need the low flow with low light. Im trying to figure out if. I got half of one or a quarter of one..... Idk and idc as long as it lives. And were you at the meeting? I don't think I met you?

Buying the anemones to cut up was sort of a risky thing, on one hand we wanted to demonstrate how to slice anemones, but on the other hand we did not know how to go about deciding who got to keep them or if they would survive.

Some of the corals and anemones won't make it. It's part of the risk involved with transporting corals right before and after fragging them.

Thats the good thing about it being free..

I know. If it doesn't make it I really won't care. I just know I be doing this in the future so I want to make sure I do it right.

I've always just bought pond plant baskets and just clipped them to the top of my tank and added a couple pieces of rubble. Toss the nem in and you should be fine. I've never had a problem with my lights being on at full power.

Ok. When do the nems usually become a full " circle " again. I know it takes between 2weeks to a month for them to heal.

Well they do... When you only split then into two.... IMO

OHHHHH.... I have school tomorrow....kind of forgot.....well night guys....hopefully I can get up tomorrow at 7:00am...LOLOLOL

They heal quick. A good indication that they are ready to go back in tank is they are crawling around basket or container you have them in. I norm wait about two weeks before trying to feed them small pieces of food.
