After this grew to almost 12" it finally split! Here's a pick of her in all her glory prior to splitting. I'll see if I can get some pictures later today of the new one.

Now.....any suggestions on how to get it out of the tank and into a basket? They're both attached to the backside of the rock in the picture. Only problem is that it can't be removed without major deconstruction.

Try to make it uncomfortable in its location to make it move. Aim a power head directly at it.

Give both the nems time to heal the mouths before you move them. I put a rock on both sides and they usually will crawl onto one, then it's easer to move. I would give it 2-4 weeks or when you can tell that it has formed a complete mouth and a way to digest food, also less stress. I have 8 nems, 4 different kinds. Holley

They will stay back there while they are healing up. They will probably start roaming around after that and you should be able to grab one.

I will keep everyone up to date. Right now my clowns can't figure out what the heck happened!!!! They keep switching back and forth between the two. LOL

Here's an updated picture of my RBTA's that split. Both are very healthy and looking great.

I would definitely leave them alone until they each have a well formed mouth and have healed for at least 3 weeks.

Besides the suggestion offered about getting them to move, you could also redirect a powerhead at the foot of the anemone that you want to move. BUT do not leave the powerhead unattended since its intake can slice up and make mush of your anemone.
