Recently picked up a RBTA, and it set up front and center. It was awesome. Then I take a trip out of town and when I come back.. No RBTA! I searched everywhere. finally, my clown (who won't let my other smaller clown near the bta) gave away it location. It's tucked away in a hole on the underside of an archway, getting no light. My brother had one do this, and it came out a month later totally white with purple tips. It actually looks just like a Condy.

It was nice and bubbled up when I left. Why do they do this? I thought they liked high spots where they get plenty of light.

May not have been happy with the flow. It may keep moving for a while until it finds the best combination of flow and light.

My rbta did the same thing. I placed it at the bottom and it moved all the way to the top of the tank. Just give it some time tofind a happy place

Sounds about right. Don't worry it will pop out next to your favorite and most expensive coral. It's Murphy's law of the ocean.

Seriously, keep your water parameters right and flow the same and you will good. It will find its spot and be just fine. It may disappear for a little while while it searches.

The usual reason for them losing color is either poor water quality, poor light or undue stress.
