Reactor plumbing

I installed a reactor on the side of my bc29 with a pump in the first chamber to feed the reactor. i have the output from the reactor feeding back to the return pump chamber. Is this optimal or should i be feeding it into the sr3 skimmer i have in the center chamber, or something different?
