I picked up a red sea 650 peninsula that had a failed seam and I’m in the process of rebuilding it separated the glass with the failed seam and resealed it using asi black aquarium silicone.

It took a lot of elbow grease and time to clean all the old silicone off and 3 attempts to get it right but tank is finally repaired and setting up for a few weeks.

Inspecting the stand I’ve found multiple points of structural weakness that may have contributed to the seam failure. This stand has the updated brace but the side glass panels float the whole distance.

I’m going to put a sheet of 3/4” marine grade plywood on the top with new neoprene foam oh top of that the plywood will support the whole bottom of the tank and hopefully this will solve the weak points. IMG_3743.jpeg
