Does anyone have any recomendations for a good small skimmer. It only needs to process 60-70 gallons (depending on the size of sump I set up next week). I do not need to overdo it and get something the does 300 gallons. I know it may be better, but that usually means bigger (which will not fit in my 5g bucket w/ bio balls and pump) and will be more expensive. I know I'm picky, but does anyone have any good ideas?

Thank you!

Well, consider that most "recommended" tank sizes for skimmer are WAY over exaggerated, so you should look for something that says that it will do 125-150 gallons. The ones that come to mind that are not that expensive are a Coralife super skimmer, a turbofloter, and an octopus skimmer. Those should give you the most bang for your buck.

There is a guy selling one that is perfect for your tank. You can't beat the brand DAS (Dutch Aquarium System), and thats a great price.

Pending on the load in your tank, you might be able to get away with a Aqua C remora. (HOB)

I got the Aqua C remora about a month ago and love it for my 45 gallon.

I have an extra Octopus NW-200 insump modifide to pull 20+ scfh $150 comparable to Das EX-2 or EX-3.

But if you want a NW-type skimmer the new MSX-160 is the best for the buck period ( thier is a waiting list for them)

PS The Nw-200 is not really a small skimmer.

You want the skimmer to fit into a 5 gallon bucket?? the MSX 160 may be your only good opption

Octopus DNW-110. This is what I'm running on my 75g. You can find them for around $180-210 and you can run it externally.

This might work as well
