Red Legged Hermits vs Zoas

Last night I found a red legged hermit in the middle of a zoa cluster. I moved him to the refugium. Checked the zoas this morning and several polyps are missing.

Is this unusual behavior for hermits? I have a lot of them....

I am not an expert on them , but i have heard the when they get of a certain size then they can get predatory etc - and if he is like that they say they can desimated your 'pods
