I've got a Red Sea Berlin Hang-On Skimmer and I have a few questions for y'all. It currently has a mag 5 on it but I'm gonna try to juice this sucker up a bit and I have several questions about doing so.
1) I've been told I can swap out the mag 5 for a mag 7. If that's the case, can I just use an ocean runner 2500?
2) Can anyone tell/show me how to make the mesh mod for whatever pump will work on the skimmer? I understand there's a little bit of technique involved. Also, what material do use for this mod and where can I get it.
3) Can the skimmer be recirculated? If so, how do I do that?
4) Is the tube in the center of the body of the skimmer supposed to be loose? It seems to shake a little.
I'm sure there will be more questions, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Thanks for the help everyone.
