Red Sea Salt

I'm trying Red Sea Salt and I'm looking to see how much you guys use for mixing. The dosing directions are in pounds per 5 gallons of water but I don't have anything around the house to measure weights. Does this equal out to 1/2 cup per gallon like my RC?

For me, it mixes the same as the IO I used to use. 2-1/2 cups per 5 gallons.

I did some research and ended up going with the same mix as my RC and it hit exactly on 1.026 so I'm good to go.
