Does anyone know if "Red Slime Remover" affects Ph. Its a relatively new tank and having a little trouble keeping it high enough.

the red slime remover might.....IME boyd's chemiclean is the best chemical additive for cyano.....but before using any chemical additives....i would try my best to get the phosphates down and if your running a sump/fuge......throw some cheato in and that will help alot since they are competing for the same nutrients......i used chemiclean on my 40 hex since i didnt have much other options other than daily water changes.....but now i wont be using any chemical additives unless completely necessary

The aquarium parameters are great. Phosphates and nitrates barely detactabe. Fighting pH a bit but kalkwasser seems to take care of it.

I havent tried the "IME boyd's chemiclean". Do you know of any place in town carries it.

I have noticed it at Fish Scales and Atlanta Reef. I'm sure other sposors carry it as well. Incidentally, if you have anything other than very good test kits, I wouldn't trust "barely detectable" any further than I could throw the tank.

almost any LFS probably has Boyd's......what part of town are you in....they even have at petsmart....

Great, havent noticed the product but will defintely look for it. Im in Decatur and will try PetSmart unless you know a better choice.

decatur eh?.......think the closest sponsor to you would probably be warehouse aquarium over on chamblee-tucker rd....check out the sponsor page and you can map it....shouldnt be to far considering i drive from kennesaw to decatur on a regular basis....BLAH

its a great place just to go check out too.....lots of stuff everywhere.....even a nautilus or 5

Perfect, havent tried it but will. Got a piece of live rock from a P**S**** and got some aptasia and flat worms. As an aside do peppermint shrimp eat flat worms. I got them for the aptasia and the flatwom are under control as well.

i used it and it didnt affect any parameters. Just make sure you use an air stone to oxygenate the water and do the 20% water change after two days. It worked wonders by the way, i had a cyano outbreak and tried everything in the book to get rid of it before going chemical, but it worked wonders and a month later still no algae and no affected params. It also didnt affect any fish, coral, or inverts.

I had the same slime and I went and bought something from warehouse aquarium on Sunday, now it is almost gone... Nothing changed in my tank but the slime going "bye-bye"
