Reducing salt creep due to skimmer output

I moved my Coralvue skimmer from hang-on the side with a small sump to being inside a compartment of a larger sump. I am getting tons of salt creep that I never experienced before. There are a lot of bubbles coming out of the skimmer and when they surface and pop - salt creep.

Any innovative ideas on how to deal with the bubbles?

I think a picture would help. I think I know what you are describing though, I use a piece of tubular foam on my skimmer to "catch" most of the bubbles.

The sponge is a good idea and should help, just don't forget to clean it regularly. They do get kind of funky.

The salt creep is from splash drying out and leaving the salt behind. It's a fact of life in this hobby but trying to minimize splash should solve the issue.

U can put a T (pvc) from the drain down below the water level. It will help the splashing/less bubbles/less salt creep

with that some thought you can also put a 90 on that outlet with a short length to put the output just below the water level so you don't get the splash of the fall
