I recently obtained this as part of a total system purchase. Prior to the purchase, I'd never really used a reactor and didn't really understand exactly what they were. I now have an understanding of their basic function, but need a little help with some specifics.

This reactor is way too big for my needs, so I'll likely be selling it, but want to use it as a learning opportunity.

Question #1 - Can this reactor be used successfully for anything other than biopellets? The previous owner used it as a reactor for de-nitrator of some type, and reported success. The website says that it's specifically made for biopellets, but does that limit use just to that? Based on my understanding of reactors, my impression is that it'll work for other media types, as was previously the case, but it is designed with certain advantages that only benefit biopellets.

Question #2 - The de-nitrator is still in the reactor, submerged in water. Would I be best served to go ahead and clean it out, or might it benefit a potential purchaser?

Thanks for the input.

Brian

Could be used for GFO but, you would have to keep it turned way down. Bio pellets need to be turned over much more than GFO. If you do sell it let me know.
