alright folks need your input:

I had a RO110 skimmer and it worked like a champ. I have sold it and now need a replacement or upgrade.

Based on my experience with RO110, i know i only have space just slightly bigger than the footprint of the RO110. so the new skimmer has to have similar footprint or smaller.

So, i have looked into RO 150SSS (I really like the new logo design) or the supposedly new RO 152-S. Care to chime in? what would you say the expected load these skimmers would handle?

Also, anyone encountering problems with tuning using with the "tube" valve of the 150SSS? I have heard that it does not regulate the water level well.

I run the 1500sss. As you mentioned the tube valve is a pain to adjust. Once set it works great. I contemplated putting a 1'2" needle valve in the side of the tube so I could fine tune the water level.
bio load? Not sure do not have enough experience with the skimmer to comment.

can you elaborate the "pain" part? how often and when do you find it frustrating?

Good ? Only when I clean it. The main thing is if you push the tube too far down it becomes hard to turn. Once set and in the sump I never touch it. Not such an issue that I don't like the skimmer just would like it to be a little easier is all. All that said my sump is ina crowded closet and I am a large guy so acces makes it even more aggravating I suppose.
