ok guys I need your help here.I broke the neck from where the discharge of the pump goes into the skimmer body.Does anyone know what the material is so I can glue it back?my guess is acrylic or maybe polycarbanate. I'm not too concerned about a leakproof seal becuase this is submerged anyway but I would like something that is going to be a strong hold.

If the material is clear it is probably acrylic. I'd use Weldon 16. Try to borrow some, as a whole tube is about $15. It is a solvent adhesive, and should give a good seal.

thanks it is clear i don't mind spending $15 since I paid $200 for this skimmer used.is this something that can be picked up at home depot or lowes?

Never seen it for sale at HD or Lowes. It is what I'd call a specialty adhesive. Off the shelf I have seen it at ARC Sponsors PureReef and Marine Design in Atlanta.

In Macon, you might find it at a LFS or a business that does acrylic fabrication, if there are any around.
