So I recently purchased a home and had real hardwood floors Installed . Few weeks later I get the reef bug. Setup my tank. And now it’s been up for about 4 months. I’m noticing small sections on my hardwood are starting to raise . I always try and wipe any water that falls around the tank immediately. Never leave water sitting . Has anyone else had this problem? If so what do you guys put under your tank to prevent any of these things?

I had this concern when I placed my tank.

I ended up adding nylon furniture gliders all along the base of the stand - the “feet” that you hammer into chair legs to prevent scratching your floor. Raises it up enough that I can slide a beach towel under it during water changes or while I’m working in the tank.

Is it raising the grain, like water has been sitting, or are you talking about the planks buckling?
