I'm looking at picking up my CUC for my 10g invert/macro algae tank from ReefCleaners.org. However, since what I need isn't very expensive, all told, I'd rather not pay as much for shipping as I'm paying for products!
I know some people mentioned before that they'd be interested in a group buy. The ReefCleaners.org group buy system seems great - you don't have to give your cash to an individual and pray that they're trustworthy. You purchase through the ReefCleaners.org website as usual, but select the 'Group Shipping' option and list the name of the group you're with. The entire order ships to the person who organized the group buy, and you arrange to pick up your products from that person.
The minimum total group order to qualify for the free group shipping is $250. I plan on ordering $30-ish. If enough people are interested, we can set up a group buy. If I organize it, pick-up would be just outside Jefferson, right off of I-85. I would also be open to discussion of another meeting place, so long as it is within an hour of Athens.
For clarification, this would be an unofficial group buy, NOT an official ARC PowerBuy.
