I have a Reeflo 115v 4500gph for a 180 gallon 6 return tank. Do you think inaddition to the returns I could use this pump for a MRC2 and a 54v UV? If so, would I still need to dial down the pump? For the record I plan on using numerous elbows to maximize space under the tank. Try to keep this as simplistic as possible please.

Is it for the primary flow? Then NO.
If it is being used for a loop style circulation then let it do so. Sounds like my build I have in the garage that I cannot find help to bring it in with

Why not?

I'm pushing a MR2 dual beckett skimmer and my return is running circulation through a chiller, UV, and I feed reactors off of it.

I've got a Reeflo Snapper.. it's worked great

I think you need to come see my setup. Like I said in the other thread, I have the same configuration and I feed almost all my equipment with the reeflo + return to the tank. That includes MRC2, UV, GFO reactor, Carbon reactor and Chiller. The only thing not fed by the reeflo is the calcium reactor and the fuge.

haninja, I would actually love to come see your setup! This is my first large tank and while it seemed easy therotically I am running in to snag after snag with regards to configuration. I'm on vaction in Puerto Rico until next Wednesday 02-24. If your seroius I could come over at a drop of a dime Thursday-Sunday. I think just looking at a setup like mine would solve countless hours laying awake at night trying to solve these issues!
