I just wanted to get a little feedback from the community on this topic. I should be receiving my new Radium 20,0000K bulb today:yay:

I haven't replaced the bulb on my JBJ HQI yet; I've had it for a little over a year. As far as light acclimation goes, I was looking for suggestions. The current bulb (14,000K standard issue JBJ) has been in use for ~12 months. I want to give my livestock the appropriate time to adjust to the new bulb, but I keep drawing a blank on the best way to go about doing so. The tank is an AIO, and I have to keep the lid closed when not performing maintenance due to some fish inhabitants that are "famous" for carpet surfing.

The AIO aspect makes it difficult to use any "screening" method, but I'll admit I'm not really thinking outside the box at a way to solve this issue. I was currently thinking of simply reducing the photo period. Thoughts/Suggestions?
