RESOLVED ARC no longer available on Tapatalk?

We shouldn’t be updating the ARC site on Tapatalk. Have read what Tapatalk does with the information and that’s the main reason that big forums like R2R decided to move out and remove completely their platform from that Tapatalk. I would be happy if we end up moving out from them too.

I know there are quite a few folks who are dedicated Tapatalk users. I also know that some forums have moved away from Tapatalk. What's the issue with Tapatalk? It was my understanding that R2R had a specific Tapatalk app that they disabled. Does ARC have a specific app that works with Tapatalk? I've never had anything to do with the Tapatalk app in any form so I'm not sure what the issue might be. I guess I'm assuming that they don't have access to my information unless I sign up for the app. Am I missing something?

Here is a link to why r2r stopped tapatalk use

There are multiple security and privacy issues with Tapatalk. We opened up a vote to the members when I converted the site to Xenforo and the voting showed users wanted tapatalk and we therefore enabled it.

My recommendation at the time was to not enable it due to security concerns and the fact that when there are problems - tapatalk takes a long time to identify and fix them - however, as with everything I did - I went with what the members wanted.

Convenience for forum users is the only positive thing tapatalk has going for it - the reality is most forum software is very pleasant on mobile devices using native browsers these days.
