Working on laying out a manifold for my 120G build and looking for comments on v1.0 of the design. Attached picture should help clarify my initial thoughts.
1. Manifold Size - 3/4"?
2. All valves are just ball valves
3. Is the line up ok? Or should it be changed?
Pump sizing - My thoughts are for turnover rate in the system of about 750 GPH. In planning to drive the reactors off of the manifold, I was thinking of pump capable of producing 950 GPH at calculated head. I figured the head by using a 15.8 GPM rate, 3 horizontal feet of pipe at 3/4", 5' of vertical lift, 3 feet of misc head loss (to account for 3 reactors in total), 2 90s and 4 Ts. I came up with total pump head required of 15.7 feet. Therefore, I need a pump that that can produce 950 GPH at 15.7 feet of head. Does this make sense? Any pump brand recommendations?
Any other feedback is most welcome. Thanks in advance.
