Just turned on my 60 cube for the first time and everything worked.. kind of. Where the hose from the pump meets the bulkhead is leaking water. It is on securely but it is leaking a pretty good stream back down the hose. Does this indicate that the pump is too strong? The pump is rated for about 800gph. Any help?

I would think its probably just the plumbing leaking somewhere, although if its a marineland cube you may find the pump to be too much, I have around a 500gph on my cube and the drain can just barely keep up with that, either way i dont think the pump is causing the leak.

Do you have a clamp around the hose? Agreed it is not from to much pump BTW.
OK think I got it. The hose was a little too long so it was pulling it to one side a little where it met the bulkhead. I cut the hose so that it would not pull. Also installed the plastic clamp I ordered and forgot to put on. Dumb$%# me. Thanks for the helps folks. I was on the way out the door to get a smaller pump.
