Im in the process of upgrading my current 125gal tank to a 180 im currently running a mag 7 and just couldn't decide on a mag 18 or jebao because of it's controllability im also looking for quiet ness let me hear your opinions

Jebao all the way for many reasons. Quieter,cooler,good price and as you mentioned control ability.

jebao dct12000 is a beast! mine is super quiet. I run it on a 200g with 3 reactors and cant run over 60% without overpowering the overflows. Make sure to get the dct model, some of the dc models come with bsp instead of npt and require adapters.
