Hey guy thought id start a new build thread for my 1st nano tank. I really wanted a custom built stand cuz i have a a specific look and spot im going for. Wanted it tall peninsula style cus its right where you walk into my man cave and gonna put a desk next to it. Ive realized that as i go on in this hobby ive become much more picky about things. I want it to be exactly what i dream up or else i wont be satisfied. That being said...it comes with a price tag much higher than anticipated. Started the stand build today and already at 150 just on the stand thinking itll be another 100 to finish...yikes. lol but its coming together quite well. Ill share the pics of my progress so far. Will prob finish wrapping the cabinet area next Saturday. Hoping to stain it instead of paint as long as i think i can get the seams nice and tight20200912_111801.jpg20200912_133018.jpg20200912_142436.jpg20200912_142840.jpg20200912_143750.jpg20200912_145728.jpg20200912_145738.jpg

10 gallon sump on bottom will be drilled once i decided on the overflow with the axium 120 skimmer @Shawn hooked me up with. Def gonna be the most expensive nano setup i can dream up! And afford :$20200912_152123.jpg20200912_152135.jpg

Great inspiration! I have similar plans in a tall tank for my future seahorses. Great break between the bedroom and the Covid office!

This truly is an epic nano tank build lol. Stand is built and wrapped i def went way overboard on this. One side is a faux wall using cabinet magnets to hold it in nice and tight while allowing total access to sump area. Wood glue is drying gonna fill up nail and screw holes with wood filler. Orded a marine depot dr il lled overflow glued rockscape together. Gonna sand and stain and drill Saturday and filler up soon after20200915_150858.jpg20200915_150910.jpg20200915_150929.jpg20200915_150939.jpg
