I am considering setting up a rimless tank in the near future, and have a question. I have a stand that has a hole in it for the overflow, but I will be drilling into the back for the overflow so I won't need it. Should I worry about the hole? I plan on putting a mat in between the tank and the stand, but I am concerned that the hole may effect the integrity of the tank. Any input is appreciated.

How big is the tank ?
I don't think the hole should matter much if you have it sitting on foam
Mine has a 4x8 hole for the overflow sitting on foam

It's only 45 gallons. That was my original thought process as well. Most tanks are drilled on the bottom so it shouldn't be a problem, but I just wanted some input from others.
