Thanks for all the continued dialogue -- I didn't check the thread for a few days and didn't realize so many had shared comments.
The room ambient temp can get as high as 93 -- which is the same as the temp outdoors. It's been pretty hot lately and it may get hotter. So, I'm now wondering of the exhaust from the chiller is really contributing that much.
So, I'm beginning to lean heavily toward cooling the room with a small AC unit.
I have also discovered one other option. I noticed that the hose leading into the chiller is a 1/2 ID and the hose leading back to the sump is 3/4 ID -- I'm thinking that I've unknowingly restricted the water flow and should immediately enlagre the 1/2 hose to a 3/4 size.
Also, I need to check the rating for my 1/5 HP chiller -- I don't know what differential it's designed to maintain between ambient temp and water temp. Frankly, I don't care how hot the room gets as long as the water temp is around 80 to 81.
Thanks for chiming in on this issue!
