OK guys, here is what I did. I bought a single DA float switch with the hanger from Tim at Aquarium Smith, about $24. I have the float switch hooked to my SL1 module, and it is in the skimmer section of my sump. My ATO is a Tunze Osmolator with a high level alarm that I also have to disconnect during water changes, so I have the power to the Tunze tied to this float switch as well. Then, when the water level in the sumps drops to normal in the skimmer, the float switch restores power to the skimmer motor, and at the same time power is restored to the Osmolator at a water level below the high level alarm on the Tunze, so it works out well. This takes care of possible overskimming.

A possible use for a second float switch is one that sits inside the skimmer cup, and when the skimmate level gets to the top, it cuts off power to the skimmer as well. This would take care of possible overskimming not resulting from a rise in sump level, but maybe from something in the tank that makes the skimmer overfoam.
