RKL as ATO with Dual switches

Hi All,

I have the RKL, with SL2 module and the DA dual float switch kit. Is anyone using this configuration? SL1 would be the same. Just wanting an example of someone's programming if using this. I want the ATO pump to cycle on (with timer to run it for a couple of mins or so at a time), then I want an alarm on switch 2 so that if it is activated the ATO pump shuts off no matter what. This would prevent a flood if float switch 1 got stuck.

Yup, I run a RKL setup with floats. Set the top off pump as a multi-timer. I have mine come on for 5min every 2 hours (Aqualifter pumps 3 gallons per hour, that comes out to possibly 3 gallons per day if the float sticks but the timer still works). Two floats wired in series to complete the circuit. When the float rises, the circuit is broken. If the lower one sticks, the upper one will break the circuit. With my chiller, I only evaporate 5 gallons every10-12 days. Since I use a 5g top off container, and my sump can hold the entire overflow from the 90 plus 5 from the top off means that should the ATO stick on and then power fail, it still won't overflow.

I would wire the floats in series rather than take up two switch ports.
