RKL off at two a.m.

I was told it was almost positively a problem with the probe. Sure enough, the day my new one came in, I plugged in the old one again to verify it was still messing up, it was. Plugged the new one it, worked just fine.
 
lol, glad to hear that. I was gonna tell Auburn over there that we mentioned his problem with their customer service and they said something about flies, vinegar, and honey. I guess it's just their policy with the temp probe though, perhaps because it's an item that wears out more easily?

Just kidding, au01st. You have every right to expect great service no matter what. I did find it amusing though. :)
 
Well, I can see it from their side as well. Though I was an active user in their forums, even helped a few people with questions when no one was there on the weekend to answer, so it's not like I was some stranger looking for a handout.
 
It sucks that it happened that way. If that's what had happened to us first, we'd be unhappy. At least now, they've handled a problem correctly, so we'll be more forgiving of any other policies that might not work in our favor later. It's even coming with a prepaid return label.

Rob, I think I would become such a screaming pain in their butts that they'd send me an extra one just to shut me up... I know, it's easy to talk big when it isn't me in the situation.

Did you ask them what happens if the man they sent a free PC4 to just decides he may want to keep it? I mean, it's not like they're going to send a goon squad to collect.

Do we even know if they have made contact with the guy yet?

And you are welcome to use my third one since I picked it up from Tim... I don't need it until I get the canopy finished, really. I feel kind of bad... it was only the luck of the draw that kept me from getting the bad one.
