So, do i need to keep a heater and a pump for flow in my RO container? I've been just making it as needed but I'm going to now move into a large container to have more on hand and make water changes easier. Also, if I have a separate container for mixing salt should I just make it when I need it or should I keep some of that on hand too? I would guess that would need at least a pump to keep movement. Thanks for the help!

Tagging along, after having trouble getting top off water due to the flood i'm starting to hold more RO/DI water too and wondered the same thing.

I've always got at least 10G of saltwater "on tap"

So, which one do you keep the Mag5 in? RO or Salt container? Is there a need to have flow in either container when there's water/saltwater in them?

I keep 30g of RO all the time. I keep 15g of saltwater mixed up. The saltwater is circulated with a MJ1200. No heaters and no circulation of the RO.

My RO/DI set up is in the garage and with winter coming on I may put a heater in the saltwater.

saltwater won't freeze nearly as quickly as freshwater will. Saltwater definately needs movement or it will go stagnet and you don't want bad saltwater. As long as it's moving...it should be ok. I've never seen a need to keep my RO water moving. I just hold it in containers.

Not worried about either water freezing. If I put a heater in the saltwater it will be to keep it closer to tank temperature for water changes.
