Ok, so I was wondering if any of you may have heard of some of these filters. I've been looking at all of these and need to pick one.

Thanks,
Jorge

* Kent Maxxima Full Size RO/DI Filters with Hi-S Membrane

* New Reef 6st 100GPD Reverse Osmosis RO+DI Water Filters
- these are on Ebay. They have a bunch of them and pretty cheap at a buy it now price of $61.99.

* Reef Aquarium RO DI Reverse Osmosis Water Filter 75 gpd
- this one is also on ebay with free shipping for 135.

Now the big question, how do these compare to The Filter Guys?

Thanks again.

I would make a recommendation but what every I recommend will just kill your fish so I will hold my tongue on this one! :)

lol.....yeah I think ill stop taking your advice on anything reef related....

just kidding man....I prefer to look at the bright side and think that you saved three of my fish that would have died.....

the first two that diied were going to die unless god himself came down and healed them and the other one was my fault......

hopefully a decent RO/DI will help prevent stress/ick/ many other things.

Try giving the filterguys a call and ask them to recommend a system for you and why. You won't be dissapointed, the filterguys are the way to go imo.

check these guys out

I have been using them for years and for the price you can't beat the filteration these filters put out
they have great customer service, if you got a problem he won't stop until it is fix.
They have a ebay store but they been around long before anyone had ever heard of ebay

I think you should be fine with most any RODI system out there. A couple features I would look for:

2 stage pre-filter (10 micron floss and 5 micron carbon block)
RO cartridge with replacable membrane
DI filter with replacable cartridge (not the "inline", non-refillable type)
Manual, adjustable wastewater adjustment (you don't see this very often anymore)
Clear filter canisters

A nice-to-have add on is the dual inline TDS meter. It allows you to verify the output of your RO section and DI section is working properly and tells you when your DI cartridge is exhausted.

The big cost difference is the output volume. Expect to pay more for more output.

I second filter guys. http://www.thefilterguys.biz/ro_di_systems.htm">http://www.thefilterguys.biz/ro_di_systems.htm</a>

$124 for a full RO system from some very reputable guys is hard to beat.

jorge if you end up going with the filter guys let me know when you make the order, I want to get an add on DI.

My first RODI I bought from Ebay seller Filter Direct. I recently bought one from TheFilterGuys and I like the new unit better. It was worth the slight increase in price in my experience. Hope that helps. :)
