RO/DI Recommendations

All Ro systems should have a check valve in the permeate port - that check valve won't solve the issue. The problem I mentioned above will exist regardless of the feedwater pressure.

Not sure then why I have not had an issue with quick di exhaustion. I make about 65 gallons a week of rodi and the Di resin last 8-9 months. Is that not a pretty long time ? 0 tds out after di

Its a bit of a long story, but in short, the pressure tank "pushes" back against the membrane, and especially as the tank fills, the effective pressure on the membrane is very low, and the rejeection rate suffers significantly. So the TDS coming out of that tank will be relatively high, and you'll burn through your DI resin faster than would otherwise be the case. The retrofit to avoid this situation is pretty inexpensive and easy.
