As long as I get 0ppm coming out of mine they stay. I have dual 100gpd membranes that are going on 2 years old making 150-180 gallons a month. I also manual flush before and after running every time

Yep. I test the water going in from the tap, coming out from the RO and coming out from the DI resin. If the membrane's good, it'll read 1 or 2 ppm TDS. As soon as it gets up to 3 on a regular basis, I order a new one and install it when the TDS coming out is 5 ppm. As long as the DI catches it, I'm good (final number has to read 0) but I'll let my RO membrane get up to 5 before I swap it out. I also 2nd the manual flush, I've been told it's worth every penny because it really extends the membrane life and I've never run without one.

I change mine annually, pre filter and both carbon filters quarterly. DI resin when TDS hits 0.1, usually 2-4 months depending on TDS in.
