Yup a good RO/DI system is an essential part of having a reef tank
I learned that pretty fast and am still learning. One thing I know it doesn't matter how long you've been in saltwater you will always learn and each tank is different. Basically not everything works for everyone. But everyone's experience and knowledge can help to point in the right direction for whom ever needs it
I finally got around to installing a water saver kit on mine. The difference in the amount of wastewater is huge! I had my waste water leading out to my rose bushes and rosemary but now I have to start manually watering them.
