I just bought some rock cut flat one one side. Very nice product and will be happy to share info if you message me. Only one problem, the base has holes in it that will collect detritus. Since Im doing bare bottom to avoid this, I want to fill the holes in.

Any suggestions? Maybe something with the consistency of plaster.

Check out the Thorite cement product from Marco Rocks. I used it to do my "bonsai" aquascaping. It looks grey to start out with, but I'm sure it will cover up with algae in no time anyway.

How about using several plastic furniture feet floor protectors? The little ones that are like 1/2 inch circles and 1/8 inch thick. It would make the rock nearly as stable and allow currents under them. Plus you won't scrach your tank bottom.
