Are there any one know which brand is good for RODI system? I need 1 to 1 ...or.. 2 to 1 . which one is the best?

I have a unit from Pure Water Club and have been happy with it for the past year, but several members have had issues with them leaking. It's a gamble, but will be one of the cheapest you can get.

Air Water Ice is a sponsor here and they have some great units, never heard a bad thing about them.

I'm not sure what you mean by "1 to 1" or "2 to 1", but you'll want something that puts out 00ppm water, 00ppm being the reading of TDS (or Total Dissolved Solids).

You can get one sized for your tank, but keep in mind the time you'll need to spend each week for topping off. I have a 150 gallon per day unit so I don't have to sit around doing nothing while I fill jugs. Many sponsor stores also sell RO/DI water and pre-mixed salt water, so if you have a nano, you could get away with just buying water.

Hope this helps.

And, I have a shameless plug...

I have one of the Pure Water Club units that I am currently trying to sell. Only $60 for it, including an inline TDS meter that I added to it. Has never leaked, and consistently produces 0 ppm TDS water.

1:1 is the ratio of product water to waste water. A typical unit produces 1 unit of product water to 3-4 units of waste water.

I believe Puratek makes units with 1:1 ratio... they are going to cost more - but the savings on the water bill will offset that in the long run.

I also have a good unit from Pure Water Club. Their customer service is terrible and their directions are worthless, but they are good units and easy on the wallet. You'll have a tough time finding a 1:1 unit without paying significantly more. But as Jenn said, it will probably pay for itself in the long run.

Ahh, makes sense. My water is local well water and included in my property rent, so I don't worry about it, lol.

Don't know - haven't played with one yet. Sales guy was selling me up on them, and I explained that it's hard to keep a high-dollar unit on the shelf when folks are buying el-cheapo units on fleabay, that "only leak a little".

I am sort of chuckling as I type that... no malice intended, but that's kind of the way it is... I can order one in if somebody wants one, but it's unlikely that I'd put one on the shelf.

I *would* like to get one for the shop though - I'm sure my landlord would appreciate the water bill reduction.

I just bought this one recently, and really like it...produces 1:1 or better.

I have a 75gpd unit with built in TDS meter and pressure gauge. 6 months old with extra filters and DI.
$60
