I just installed a RODI system, and started making water.

How long is RODI water good for?

How long is RODI SALT water good for?

Do I need to circulate the water or can it just sit?

Where do you get barrels from?

Thanks,

Most of us find barrels off of Craigslist. Yes, it needs to be circulated. As far as I know, RODI freshwater never expires as long as it's circulated. I generally don't make more saltwater than I can use within 2 weeks.

I keep about 50 gallons in a barrel from US plastics. I don't circulate my RODI but do circulate and airate my prepared salt water.

I always keep 32 gallons of salt water and RODI water on hand. I circulate the salt water and heat in the winter because it's in the garage, so it's at the correct temperature for water changes. I do not circulate the RODI but may start doing so.

I keep RO water in a Brute container with lid. No circulation/aeration. Think it would stay good as long as nothing gets in it.

I've noticed that my rodi will begin to have a smell if I don't circulate it. Others have confirmed this too. I leave a maxi jet 1200 in my 32 brute.
