C ckwatson Member Market Messages 395 Reaction score 0 Oct 4, 2007 #1 how much room do you need for a protein skimmer. I built a sump and i think i may have made the skimmer section to small. It is fine front to back but there is only about 1.5 or 2 inches one the side. Will this cause a problem?
