I have a green bubble anemone, and since the day I got it (2 months ago), it deflates all the water out of its tentacles and looks pretty bad. It does this once a day for about an hour or so. I had to move a rock near it the other day and since then it ran behind a rock and doesn't seem to want to come out. It has been there for over 24 hours. Does anyone know why it deflates? Should I try to move it out from behind the rock?

I have a 55 gallon tank with a drilled overflow. My water levels are perfect. I have power compact lighting with 2 blue lights and 2 day light bulbs. (recently changed). I keep the lights on for about 8 to 10 hours a day. I just don't know what to do? Any help would be great.

Thank you

Every bubble tip I've ever had got as high and close to my lights as possible (and I've only had Metal Halide tanks). Those PC's are likely not going to keep him happy.

I've had two for over a year... They deflate every night. Give it some time to adjust and let it find it's happy place. If it doesn't settle in... You may not have enough light.

elFloyd - That Green BTA you got from me still around??? You should see the momma now. A good 14-16" diameter.

My long tentacle does great. The bubble looks great 23ish hours out of the day. I just bought a 120 gallon and will be using LED lighting. Are the lights not bright enough? It seems to hide from the light. Right now it is behind a rock totally out of the light.

Yep.... It split about a month after I got it. Both setting side-by-side and each about 8" when inflated.

that is what I thought. It has put himself in the very back of my tank. If I move him, I will be moving a lot of rock just to get to him.

my RBTA has moved around looking for it's happy place since I got him... (2-3 weeks ago).. for about 4 days I couldnt find him in the tank at all..

now, he's out and poised up under a Hstunner chalice..

they'll figure out where they want to be in the tank..

IF you've got the lights for them... (make sure you feed him directly with pieces of silversides or mysis/brine, especially if you are lacking in the light department..)

Thanks for your help. I mean it. I moved it higher up on my wall. It seems to like it.

Thx
