My digital thermometer went out yesterday so I went and got a new battery. In the interim I moved the digital thermometer from my frag tank over to the display. So I replace the battery in the 1st one and it is reading 80.7. The 2nd thermometer is reading 77.1. I replaced that battery in the 2nd one as well and no change. Looks like I will be getting another one for a 3rd opinion.

Yep the little Coralife digitals. Going to the LFS now.

My coralife read about 2-3 deg. Different then my ranco at all times.. I believe the controllers temp.. It cost more

OK got a 3rd one.

#1: 80.6
#2: 77.0
#3: 79.7

Oh well. I guess it is around 80.

Try a liquid thermometer (not a digital) and compare against that. I've been told they are more accurate.
