man oh man sad times here at the house.
my employee the seahare was sucked into the maxi powerhead this afternoon. i was warned but forgotten about it.
expensive price to pay for my forgetfulness.
i cant stand it when life is lost over stupidity.
nobody to blame but myself. sad day indeed.

Been there, done that, not with a sea hare, but other inverts.

I (and Dave, Acroholic) built a device that makes certain this will never happen again in my tank. It's basically a overflow box that leads no where but to a circulation pump. With this method, every circulation pump comes with the added benefit of surface skimming. It's impossible for anything to ever end up in an impellar housing again in my tank. If it wern't aptasia heaven right now, I'd post pics of my cube.

I only require'd one false overflow for my cube, but multiples could exsist in a tank, and even multiple pumps per overflow would work. It also cleans up the look of the tank.

thanks guys. on the carbon, i have a bag i ran for like 2 days. its 2 months old. is it still good ya think?
hey dakota please send me a pic. i dont care how bad the tank looks.
cant be worse than mine. i want anoth hare but need to make it safe for him. man i though there was just no way he could get sucked in holes so small. man how can it be?
