I had a heater malfunction and overheat my saltwater that I was preparing for a water change. Temp actually got up to around 115. Obviously I'm in the process of letting it cool down but there was some type of soft buildup was all over the header and a little more on the surface. I have my pump circulating the water again and it seems the buildup has dissolved.
Anyone know what the buildup was and if I should toss the water or will it be safe to use?
