who out there can tell me the best sand for sand sifters blennies, crabs, starfish, etc, is finer better or a mix?

Standard Aragonite seems to be fine for most. I tried the fine "sugar" sand and it just resulted in a sand storm.

The sifters you choose should depend a lot on the size of tank, current inhabitants, maturity of system, etc. Steer away from stars unless you have a very large, well matured system. Nassarius snails are probably the best, easiest, etc. sifters for a new system. Blennies are cool, but you'll need to make sure that they are compatible with the other fish you have or plan to stock. You can always DIY the sifting with a long wooden dowel or anything else that will reach.

I've got a Diamond Goby that I picked up from Cliff early into my set up, he's GREAT. He does a good job of keeping everything turned over, nobody in the tank bothers him and he doesn't bother any of them either.

I've got a 235 gal and have both, I've never had the slightest issue. The Diamond was the first in the tank, the Yellow followed a week or so later. No drama....Of course the Yellow only stays near HIS rock, other than venturing maybe five-six inches away from said rock at feeding time, I've never seen him anywhere else in the tank. The Diamond is all over the place. He is my moms favorite fish.

just be sure if you steer towards a diamond goby that you have a top. I love them, but lost two because i refuse to put a screen or similar on my little tank. They can be jumpers.

he he yep my diamond jumped about 2 weeks ago I fixed the problem though and bought a watchman yesterday and was wondering cuz I really liked the diamond and would like to get another in the future
