Scientific Coral Power buy for a newbie

Hey guys,

I am considering buying some stuff through the power buy. Of course, a lot of people are offering me free stuff too. Is there anything (besides that awesome fluorscent green leather) that is a great buy? I have a 100 gallon capacity skimmer, and only four fish in my 29g so I have space. I have three other coral types:

(1) Pulsing Xenia
(2) Green Mushroom Coral
(3) Green polyps

Don't just look for a "great buy" and "free". Look at what colors/styles you want. A lot of free stuff is stuf people want to dump. Mainly becasue they grow like weeds and eventually become weeds!

Do it right and fill your tank with stuff that you really want. It will be worth the money.

Ooooh. Good point Skriz. I suspected as such. What would you recommend for my tank? I am definitely getting a flo green leather. I have a reddish/brownish pulsing xenia, green/blue button polyp, and a green mushroom coral. I think I need some red, yellow, purple, and blue.

What would you recommend?

Raj, I think you might have missed the point. It's what you want...not what other people think you want.

Not to recommend another forum, but take a look at the pics on nano-reef.com, that will give you an idea of what other tanks in the same size range look like and what they have.

Also, keep in mind it's not all about the size or the skimmer. A lot of it is dependent on lighting and flow. You'll need to research what you want vs. what you can support.
