Who is "in charge" of the Atlanta reef club ? I just went diving with the moderator of one of the scuba clubs in town and he wants to see about coordinating something.

And by BTW, while there are large parts of the Bahamas reef overwhelmed by algae (the marine biologist on board blamed it on lionfish) there are parts that are pristine. Car sized brain corals, acropora branching out several feet and huge plates of emerald green montiporra are all down there. They are quite impressive when framed by a school of 50 blue reef chromis and a pair of queen Angels.

Its worth the trip.

well its a group of people that are in charge. they're the board of directors but if you're looking for one person it would be our current president dylan screen name rippedtide

Yep. I'd be worried if I was running the place. It means that everyone else lost their **** minds!

At least he looks somewhat presentable these days. :-)

lots of divers on this board including several instructors, if you were diving the Nassau area it isn't lionfish to blame but all of the boat and ship traffic ontop of locals having fished out the area to feed theirselves. to to bimini and the exumas and WHAM some excellent diving with a more than a couple of sites with crab larger than 50 gallon drum lids
