Who is "in charge" of the Atlanta reef club ? I just went diving with the moderator of one of the scuba clubs in town and he wants to see about coordinating something.
And by BTW, while there are large parts of the Bahamas reef overwhelmed by algae (the marine biologist on board blamed it on lionfish) there are parts that are pristine. Car sized brain corals, acropora branching out several feet and huge plates of emerald green montiporra are all down there. They are quite impressive when framed by a school of 50 blue reef chromis and a pair of queen Angels.
Its worth the trip.
