I am setting up a sump and was wondering about using a SCWD on my return. The 2 questions I have is:
1. Is this ok to do?
2. It is recommended that both return tubes be the same length. My tank is a view from both sides so my sump will be at the end( can't put it under the dt) so one line would be short and the other would have to reach to the other end. Is this ok to do also?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I have a SCWD on tme 30 Cube and it works great. Some reduction in flow but does a great job alternating the flow from one return line to the other! I am sure increasing the return line length on one side would just decrease the flow to that side but should be ok. One way to solve it would be to run your return line to the center of your tank to the SCWD and then out to each side of the tank. This would add more head pressure but would even the flows. Good luck!
