Sea Hare

I just put a sea hare in my tank last night and it has not moved a whole lot. It moved off a rock to the sand and has been in 2 places since then with out eating anything as far as I know. I touched it a little before I came to work today and it moved a little. I have been worried all night and today that my tank will be poisoned by this sea hare. are there any suggestions?

Did you acclimate him? It takes a good bit for these guys to be properly acclimated.

I did for about 20 to 30 mins. So from what I am hearing that might not have been enough time.

They also don't like high nitrates.

Mine didn't move for a couple of days when first intoduced. GIve it a few and make sure it is alive.

I put one in my 125 yesterday. Did a drip on him for about 45 min or so. He took off like a shot eating his way from one end to the other.

Hopefully yours will get hungry and start to work.
