Seachem Dip

Has any one used this during their QT process?

I use this dip PRIOR to QT and/or Revive.

No dip is used in the QT.

There are many different meds to be used in the QT if needed, depending on the symptoms of the fish.

I use it all the time to dip my new corals coming in and if there is a coral issue.

Well I've gotten 4 fish so far. 2 were from SEA so i didn't QT, those fish were fine. The other two I used dip on, and they died. My water levels test fine, so I'm thinking its was the dip.

Are you talking about their Coral dip?
Darlin, it's for coral not fish

I read the thingy on the back and I sware it said for fish and coral. :-[ I'm not home, but as soon as I get back I'll check the label again. Ahhh. My poor fishes.

did you use paragaurd or reef dip? paraguard is the one for fish and reef dip is the one for coral and you cant mix and match.

The dip is never intended for use in a tank, just in a dip or bath. It's only meant for corals, and not for fish.

Thanks guys! Yes, I never put in my actual tank. I'm very sad that I lost the 2, but very glad I figured it out. Thanks Marlon!! I know ur always there for my panicked questions the positive my corals are looking great that I got from Deb. Thanks again Deb!

It's always sad to lose a fish but hopefully they weren't expensive ones!

Btw was it the wrong dip or something else that killed the fish?

It was definitely the dip! I'm happy to report 2 new additions, a lawnmower blenny and a baby clown, both are doing wonderful since I didnt posion them
