I was looking into putting some Seachem Matrix inside the Remora C skimmer (specifically in the chamber returning the water to the tank). I was trying to choose between an HOB filter (Penguin 350) and the skimmer. I noticed the skimmer will provide better flow through the media than the filter. I am interested in adding this media to remove nitrates from the system. Would this work? I have contacted the Remora C technical support and they told me I should be able to put some media in it. Have anybody tried this? Any good results? Any bad results? Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.
