I am buying a 120 today but one of the corners has damage to the silicone, I have aquarium sealant but do I just put the silicone over the old or do I remove all the old and replace. Also, how long should I let it sit before I fill it. I am not in a rush, but I do not think I could wait a few months to fill it :D.

thanks guys for any tips or suggestions. I'll post pictures when I get it home tonight!

I would just put it over the old and let it sit for like 2 days, then it should be fine.

Thanks, I think the silicone work may be better that I thought, but I'll try to get pictures at some point.

a shot in the dark, but would I have to reinforce my floors for a 120/125?...the dimensions are 72L"x23"Hx18.5W not sure of capacity. But I have a crawl space, and I have no idea where to begin with that. I guess I should have thought about that before, but I just got pretty close to a full setup for $100 (couldn't pass that up).

Tank, sump, pump, plumbing, and a stand that I could not fit in the car for $100...I looked over the tank and cannot find any damage (it is pretty dirty though)...

You will probably not need to reinforce the floor. The weight will be spread out, so you should have no problems, assuming you are putting it next to a wall. Just be sure to level it.

it was a 2 hour drive (each way)...but I would do it again in a heart beat. The guy was really nice, and helped me get all the plumbing parts I would need that he had. He said he had been out of the hobby for a couple of years and bought this tank to end up never really using it...so It has about 2 or more years worth of garage grime to clean out, but I really am happy with my new project...

oh yea, I plan to turn it into a fowlr tank, would there be any benefit to me drilling vs overflow boxes or is that just personal preference?
